Hi everyone! It's been awhile since my last post but I wanted to share with everyone that I've opened an Etsy Shop. I'm in the process of creating a shop where you can purchase special occasion cards and invitations. I currently have 3 Wedding invitations suites up, but plan on adding more designs each week. Please spread the word around especially if you have any friends that are looking for fun, modern, and beautifully designed wedding invitations for a good price. Please take a look at my Etsy store! Below a picture of one of the wedding invitation designs that are up for sale.

Life As A Mom
I decided I'm going to try and do a few pictures of me a week showcasing life as a mom. The first one is just showing no matter how much I try to hide it, you can always see the lack of sleep. But it is totally worth it.

Free Grocery List Download
As I was thinking about all the Groceries I had to get and figuring out a list, I thought why not build a list that I can use over and over again, print out a new one each time my list changes and have it look stylish. Well, because of my needs and wants you too can now download and reuse this Free Downloadable Grocery List I've created.
Just download the Grocery List PDF, open in adobe and type in what you need and print! That's it! You can save the list so when it comes time again to buy groceries you can have a record of what you bought last time. Enjoy!

New Design for sale
My husband and I just took a huge leap into adulthood and purchased our first house. With the addition of our little one things were starting to get really tight in the apartment. We hope to move into it soon, but while we are waiting to get the keys I've been busy creating art for my daughter's room.
There was one quote that kept resonating with me and it was the "Let her sleep for when she wakes she will move mountains." I know all parents out there think their kid will do something big for the world, but I truly think my daughter will and I want this to be the quote that she is always looking at.
I took this strong quote and decided to create a piece of art to go along with it. You can also purchase items with the art as well. Below are just a few samples of the products you can purchase. I hope you enjoy it!

Skylanders
While at my previous job I got to work on a few really cool projects. One of the franchises that I worked on the most was Skylanders. Below is the special edition easter packaging that I worked on. It was fun playing with shapes and getting to create packaging to look like an Easter Egg. I'll post more Skylanders projects I worked on over time.

Busy....
It's been awhile since my last post. I've been busy getting some freelance work! About 2 years ago I actually worked for Disney Consumer Products for 5 and half years. I had a lot of fun working there and really learned a lot, but sadly without really wanting too I had to leave for financial reasons. I kept in touch with the friends I made while there and when I started freelancing I thought I would see if they needed any help and was able to get some work :).
I'm really happy to be able to work on Disney properties again, it's been too long and I really did miss it. Hopefully once everything is done and out in the market I can share some of the work that I will be doing and have done for them. :)
I do have plans though to make some more design patterns and have been sketching away for new ideas. I'm showing just a few ideas that hopefully I can get to in a few weeks and hopefully have a few new bags that you all can purchase ;).

On the Instagram bandwagon
Part of getting my art out into the world is not easy but I know a big part of it is being on social media. Follow me on Instagram @erh_designs to see what new projects are on the way! And if you purchase any of my products please take a picture of yourself with them and tag them #erh_designs!

Patterns and Society6
It's taken me awhile to wrap my head around the idea that I have to come up with design ideas myself instead of someone giving me work to do. I thought about it for awhile and though my friend Claudia I learned about Society6. It's a website where artists can post their artwork and have it immediately available for sale as a variety of products, without giving up control of their rights. Well I jumped right into it and started my own shop! I've got 6 patterns up right now that are placed on a variety of products. There are more designs and product to come. Take a look at some of the work and maybe purchase a few items. GO TO MY SHOP :)

Sketch of the Day
Now that I'm at home watching baby girl and trying to stay creative I've decided that I would try and sketch as much as I can get in. Todays sketch reflects how I'm working on my business cards....a screaming baby on my bouncing knee, my other hand working, a large cup of coffee and my dog asleep...like always. Sometimes I wish I could sleep like Bella doggie.

A New Chapter
After several years working as designer at corporate and design firms I've finally come around to being a freelance designer. Now, I never thought I would be a freelancer but things in your life changes your view and my new baby girl has done that for me. After weighing out options of child care, gas money, and everything else in my life it didn't make sense for me to go back to work. So now here I am venturing out into the world of stay at home mommy and at home freelancer. I'm open to whatever comes my way! It's exciting and frightening at the same time.
